How this directory works
The official MCP registry lists 53,091 servers; 34,809 have an address Claude can connect to. Most are made in bulk, so we write guides for the ones people search for most and give a page only to the 300 other servers that score best on what the registry can tell us: a domain the publisher proved to own, source code, a real description, and time in the registry. Questions
What is a Claude connector?
A connector gives Claude access to another app, such as your notes, tasks or files, so it can read from it and act in it while you chat. Under the hood most connectors are remote MCP servers: an address on the internet that speaks the Model Context Protocol.
Is a connector the same as an MCP server?
Almost. A remote MCP server is the thing on the internet; a connector is that server added to your Claude account. Local MCP servers that run on your own computer only work in Claude Desktop and Claude Code, not as connectors.
How do I add a connector to Claude?
In Claude on the web or desktop, open Customize, then Connectors. Pick one from the directory and press Connect, or press Add, then Add custom connector, and paste the server's address. Connectors you add there are in the phone app too.
Are Claude connectors free?
Adding them is. Claude's free plan allows one custom connector; paid plans allow more. The app behind a connector may have its own price.
Do the same connectors work in ChatGPT?
Most remote MCP servers do. On a paid ChatGPT plan, turn on Developer mode and create an app with the same address. Servers that need a key in a header may not connect there.
